A Place to Worship
All are invited to worship at St. John Lutheran Church every Sunday at 9 a.m.
There are other worship opportunities during special seasons and festival days in the church year.

Holy Communion is celebrated on the first and third Sundays each month. It is also offered on other occasions such as Christmas, Easter, Pentecost and more! If you have questions about receiving Holy Communion, please ask. Communion is a unique gift from God with blessings to all who believe.

Upcoming Events
In September, our gym and Youth Center will once again open for youth in Garfield Heights and surrounding communities. BEFORE we open we will need to have more adult supervisors. Contact Karen at the church 216-587-4222 or email sjlutheran@att.net to set up an interview time. ALL ADULT SUPERVISORS must be over 21 years, be interviewed, submit to a background check and expect to be regular in attendance to help.
The gym and Youth Center will be open on Thursdays. 5:30 p.m. – 7 p.m. for 4th – 8th grade students and 7:30 p.m. – 9 p.m. for high school students.
When the time comes, ALL YOUTH must be attending school. It’s a new school year so the first time a youth comes, a parent must come to fill out a registration form and sign a liability release.

Vacation Bible School
GALAXY VBS
We were privileged to have 13 youth with us over the two evenings of GALAXY! We learned of God’s love for us and how we are to respect and love one another as it tells us in the Bible. The kids had ‘astronaut’ ice cream for a treat! They made a cross craft to take home and did a service project for patients at Marymount Hospital. VBS was topped off with an ice cream social on Sunday afternoon. We look forward to more opportunities to spend time with the young people of our community!
